The children had a brilliant time today. We had some Xmas crafts, party games, and then a fun-filled disco in the hall. The teachers and staff should sleep well tonight; the kids, on the other hand, were still going strong at home time!
Year 3 are really getting to grips with their brass instruments now. Today, we learnt about different rhythms and then played along to a song using G and F notes. Listen to how they all play in time too!
For Jennifer Carver Day, Year 3 had to plan, bake and evaluate their very own spooky cakes. They all worked in groups and displayed brilliant teamwork - what a lot of fun they had along the way!

Today, on World Mental Health Day, the children here at Bookwell took part in #HelloYellow. We all wore yellow to raise funds for YoungMinds: the UK’s leading charity fighting mental health for children and young people. Year 6 made this informational video.
Today, Nat Pattinson from NPI, came into school to talk to the children about his achievements in wheelchair basket ball. He is a gold-winning world champion and proved to be very inspirational. Junior children all got to have a go themselves; they picked it up really quickly!
